25th Anniversary Complete!

So as another Northampton Balloon Festival closes, we can reflect on what was our 25th Anniversary!

We managed to get three out of six flights over the weekend, with Saturday evening and Sunday’s wind proving too strong for the balloons to fly safely.

Great start to NBF 2014

The sky was full of colour over Northamptonshire this morning as around 20 hot air balloons took to the air for the first launch of the 2014 Northampton Balloon Festival.

Starting at 6am, the balloons took off from Billing Aquadrome and drifted south towards Horton with many landing in and around Ravenstone.

It’s nearly time!

Hasn’t the time flown! It’s very nearly that time again, over 40 balloons will head to Northampton this weekend to add a splash a colour to the skies.

Weather permitting, launches will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at both 6am and 6pm. A full break down of daily activities can be found here.

Instagram Account Now Live!

Northampton Balloon Festival are pleased to announce that we have joined the wonderful world of Instagram.

Along with existing social media platforms offered, including Facebook and Twitter, Instagram will add an extra string to the bow for the event for photos to be shared across the world.

The Northampton Balloon Festival which celebrates 25 years of flight this August kicks off at 6am on Friday 15th August (weather permitting) is in its 6th year at Billing Aquadrome.

Balloons attending confirmed

The 2014 Northampton Balloon Festival is fast approaching! Its now only a short number of weeks before one of the largest balloon gatherings in the UK returns to Billing Aquadrome this summer.

Please note, special shape balloons are even more weather dependent than standard shape balloons.
